Florida karate teacher sought sex from 11-year-old boy, police say

Police arrested a 20-year-old Florida woman accused of trying to have sex with her 11-year-old karate student last week.

The student’s mother found sexual messages on her son's phone from his karate teacher Stephannie Figueroa on June 15 and reported it to the police. Figueroa sent the boy more than a dozen nude photos, flirted with him and said she wanted to have sex with him, according to reports by Orlando Police Department.

In one of the messages, Figueroa told the boy she "could not wait for another sleep over at the karate school, so she could have sex with him in a hard way,” the police report said.

When the mother confronted her son about the messages, he said in the last three months, Figueroa sent him about 15 naked photos of herself, as well as a naked video of her touching herself.

On another occasion, when the two were alone, Figueroa, who worked at Next-Gen Xtreme Martial Arts, slid her hand on the boy’s thigh and told him she wanted to touch him sexually, but stopped when he asked her to.

The two most recently communicated through the app Kik last Tuesday. Figueroa invited the boy over to celebrate her 21st birthday and said no one would be home.

“I want to have sex with you,” she messaged the boy, according to the police report.

“OK IDC” (I don’t care), he responded.

Figueroa, who turned 21 last weekend, faces charges of attempted lewd or lascivious conduct, solicitation and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, showing a minor obscene material and child abuse.
