ATLANTA - Sixty-eight year-old Kevin Moran was one of those arrested for obstructing traffic near Lenox Square Monday evening.

Moran's lawyer, Muwali Davis, says Moran asked police officers not to handcuff hands behind his back because of a pre-existing injury, but the officer did not listen, and Moran suffered a dislocated shoulder.

"The police are not being held accountable, the federal government nor the state nor the local government are being held accountable for the police brutality against men and women of color in this country," Moran said from his hospital bed at Grady Memorial Hospital on Tuesday.

Moran was handcuffed to his hospital bed and later released on a signature bond. His attorney says he is now recovering at home.

Atlanta Police confirms Moran was arrested and claimed to be suffering from a pre-existing injury. It says the department's Office of Professional Standards will look into the matter.
