Woman electrocuted by downed power lines during violent summer storm
A New Jersey woman was electrocuted during a storm Monday after live power lines fell on her car.
According to witnesses, the 26-year-old woman was trying to avoid a tree blocking the road, when the live wires fell onto her vehicle, AP reported.
The woman tried to get out of the car and was electrocuted upon exiting.
Police said the woman, who was not identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The fatality occurred in the midst of a violent summer storm, which during its most intense moments left at least 100,000 without power, NBC reported.
