Drunk Australian men throw punches on plane, cause emergency landing
Six drunk Australian men attacked each other on a flight Wednesday night, causing the crew to change courses.
No, this wasn’t a Dierks Bentley music video gone wrong.
The Jetstar flight, carrying 314 passengers from Sydney to Thailand, landed in Indonesia to offload the men, who were traveling together.
Bali airport manager Trikora Harjo told AP the only reason the men yelled and punched each other was because they drank too much beer and liquor on the plane.
One of the men escorted off the plane by police had a black eye, The Sydney Morning Herald reported.
Megan Wilson said on Facebook she had three friends on the flight and “blood was everywhere.” Some on Facebook also questioned the amount of alcohol the flight crew served the passengers before the fight broke out.
The men were identified as Bradley Beecham, Brett Eldridge, Michael Matthews, Mark Rossiter, Lynmin Waharai and Ricky William.
Bali officials said five of the men faced deportation to Australia.
