Firefighters battle major blaze near Buffalo, N.Y.

LOCKPORT, N.Y. — Multiple fire crews from the Buffalo area were fighting a large fire on Wednesday night.

The fire was burning at a building near the intersection of Stevens Street and Ohio Street in the city of Lockport north of Buffalo. Smoke could be seen from miles away.

City of Lockport Police were asking residents in the area of the Stevens Street fire to evacuate their homes. No injuries had been reported.

South Lockport Fire, Lockport Police, and the Niagara County Sheriff's Office were on the scene.
