Melissa McCarthy hilariously tries to save the world in Kia Super Bowl commercial

Melissa McCarthy is down with the cause in Kia's new Super Bowl commercial pushing its eco-friendly 2017 Niro crossover.
The spot finds the Emmy-winning actress, known for roles on the sitcom Mike & Molly and hilarious movie hits Ghostbusters and Bridesmaids, driving through a snow-covered forest when a voice comes over the car speaker.
"The whales need your help," the voice says.
"I love whales," exclaims a sympathetic McCarthy, who soon finds herself battling big waves to save her beloved sea creatures.

The ad pits McCarthy, known for her physical comedy prowess, in a series of environmental undertakings — saving trees and ice caps. All of her endeavors end with her goodwill turning to pain — falling off a cliff while rescuing trees and being gored by an angry rhino.
The ad ends with, "It's hard to be an eco-warrior, but it's easy to drive like one."
