Bear visits Connecticut woman's home while she bakes

A Connecticut woman was baking brownies this week when an unexpected guest showed up on her porch. 

The woman told WVIT-TV that she was baking brownies when she spotted the bear on her back deck in Avon, Conn. The bear pressed its paws on her glass window and hung out on the porch for about 30 minutes, the news station reported. 

The state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection told AP they are aware of the situation, but did not visit the property. 

According to AP, officials are going to looking into the bears behavior, but said it's not uncommon for bears to show up on porches and in yards during summer months.
