2 people charged with stealing hearse with body inside
BRYAN, Texas — Two people have been charged with stealing a hearse in Texas and dumping a body that was inside, authorities say.
The Bryan Police Department identified the suspects as Adam Crow, 27, and Tanya Albrecht, 28. Both are charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Albrecht is also charged with abuse of a corpse.
The hearse was stolen from a fast-food restaurant in Bryan at around 5:30 a.m. Friday after the driver went inside and left the hearse unattended.
The body inside the hearse was found at about 7 a.m. after it had been dumped.
Officers on the lookout for the hearse saw it in Brazos County and stopped it. The two suspects were inside, police say.
A local funeral home stepped up to take the body.
