PHOENIX — Firefighters in Arizona saved two deer fawns who were in danger of being harmed by a wildfire, the U.S. Forest Service said.
Members of the Flagstaff Hotshots were combating the 25,000-acre fire near Goodwin on Friday when they saw the fawns, picked them up and rescued them.
The Hotshots carried the fawns away from the wildfire and transferred them to an unaffected habitat to be reunited with their mother, officials said in a Facebook post.
