2 fires set in Texas Walmart, police investigating
CEDAR PARK, Texas — Two fires erupted at a Texas Walmart early Wednesday morning, prompting an investigation.
Firefighters were called to the store about 1:45 a.m. Wednesday. Crews located fires in two separate locations. The building’s sprinkler system extinguished most of the fire while firefighters put out parts of the other blaze.
No one was injured, according to the Cedar Park Fire Association.

We received a 911 call from an employee and when the fire department arrived, they saw light smoke coming out of the building,” city of Cedar Park spokesman Kevin Riley told the Austin American-Statesman. “They entered and found that two locations in the store had been put on fire.”
Riley told the newspaper the fires were set.
"It's still under investigation and police are speaking to a suspect," he told the American-Statesman.
Walmart spokesman Charles Crowson said the store will remain closed as the investigation continues and the company assesses the damage. Associates will be reassigned to other stores so they will not lose pay during the closure, he added.
