Man shot outside of Missouri mall on Thanksgiving suffered life-threatening injuries


A 19-year-old man shot outside a Missouri mall late Thanksgiving night suffered life-threatening injuries, police say.

Officers were called to the Columbia Mall (about 10 minutes from the University of Missouri) about 11:30 p.m. The Columbia Missouri Police Department said two men were sitting in a car outside the building when one tried to holster a gun and fired it. The men knew each other, police said. 

The victim was sent to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.

No one has been arrested and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
