Tree limb kills woman in NYC park


NEW YORK (AP) — A woman has died after being struck by a falling tree branch or limb in a Queens park.

The New York Police Department says the incident occurred at about 6:40 p.m. Sunday in Kissena Park in the Flushing neighborhood of Queens.

Police say the woman was rushed to New York Hospital Queens where she was declared dead.

A Fire Department spokesman says the woman was rushed to the hospital in traumatic arrest.

The Parks Department did not immediately return messages seeking comment.
