Caught on Camera: Too drunk to ride the train
While cops are on the lookout for drunken drivers this New Year's Eve, others are concerned with those taking public transportation. A number of recent incidents involving intoxicated people on Washington, D.C’s metro have officials concerned.

WASHINGTON — A subway rider, apparently extremely intoxicated, was seriously injured Monday after falling inside a Metro station.
Officials here are raising the alert before New Year's Eve, a warning that could apply to all public transit.
In recent weeks in this area at least six intoxicated people have been injured in incidents ranging from falling off escalators to tumbling onto train tracks.
"By far an away Metro is the safest way to get home, especially over the holidays if you've had a couple of drinks," Metro spokesman Philip Stewart said. "But if your talking about someone who can't stand up then perhaps taking a cab is the better way to go."
