Police: 2 children, 1 adult killed in Reno shooting
RENO, Nev. — The bodies of three people, including two children, were found Saturday night after a shooting at a house in northwest Reno, police said.
The names and ages of the victims were not immediately released. Police would not say whether the three were related.
Police said that no one else was inside the home when the shooting occurred and that officers were not looking for any suspects.
A handgun was used in the shooting, Officer Tim Broadway said.
Neighbor Rosa Poljak said that about 4:30 p.m. Saturday she heard sounds outside the home where the shooting occurred.
"We heard a lady yelling and screaming, that (people) there had been shot," Poljak said via telephone from a home next to the shooting scene.
"It was very distressful, very bad," Poljak said.
Police arrived a short time later.
The Sparks Police Department said it was called to assist while Reno police investigated the circumstances.
