Six Flags settles in woman's roller-coaster death

DALLAS -- Six Flags Over Texas has reached a settlement with the family of a woman who fell to her death from a roller coaster last year.

Details of the settlement were not revealed. The ride's manufacturer, Gerstlauer Amusement Rides of Germany, was also part of the settlement

Attorneys for the family of Rosy Esparza said only that they are very pleased and appreciate the condolences offered by Six Flags and Gerstlauer.

Esparza fell 75 feet to her death while riding the Texas Giant roller coaster in July 2013 at the Arlington park. The ride reopened that September.
