NEW ORLEANS — A 19-year-old woman studying to become a physical therapist has disappeared, and her family is worried that she was abducted from her college campus.

Shroq Aziz of Arabi, La., left her home for class at around 7:30 a.m. CT Monday and didn't return home that night, which family members say is unusual. They reported her missing at around 5:30 p.m. Monday.

Surveillance cameras at Delgado Community College's main campus here show that Aziz pulled into the parking lot behind the student life center at 8 a.m., got out of her car and into a black vehicle. New Orleans police say it is unclear whether she was forced into the vehicle.

Her family said she has no boyfriend.

"We don't know," said Aziz's brother, Ali Aziz, 17. "You're just expecting the worst, but praying for the best. That's all you can do."

Before family called police, they went to campus to look for Shroq Aziz and found her car still parked in the spot where video cameras caught the most recent sighting of her.

She is 5-feet, 3-inches tall with long, dark hair but usually wears a head scarf. She was last seen wearing a gray jacket, dark-colored jeans and a green head scarf with another black cloth underneath.

"I want to know. I want to know anything I can know about my sister because I want her with me right now," Ali Aziz said. "I miss her."
