At least four people shot outside Va. restaurant

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — Police were investigating a shooting that injured at least four people Tuesday night.

The shooting took place in the 6100 block of Jefferson Avenue near the Deja Vu Restaurant.

Police were notified of the incident around 8:30 p.m. ET Tuesday. When they arrived on the scene they were told that there had been a fight and multiple shots were fired.

Shortly later police received word that three gunshot victims had arrived at a local hospital.

A fourth victim was located near Crittenden Middle School. The fourth victim was transported to a hospital with injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.
