Funeral set for 8 who died of carbon monoxide poisoning
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. -- A father and his seven children who died together of accidental carbon monoxide poisoning will have separate resting places after their funerals this weekend.
Funeral services for Rodney Eric Todd, 36, and his children -- boys Cameron, 13; and ZhiHeem, 7; and girls Tyjuziana, 15, Tykeria, 12; Tynijuzia, 10; TyNiah, 9; and Tybreyia, 6 -- will be Saturday at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
According to Bennie Smith Funeral Home, the children will be buried Saturday at Spring Grove Cemetery in Denton. Todd's burial service is Sunday at the Harrisville Malone-Madison Cemetery in Madison, the funeral home said.
On April 6, police discovered Rodney Eric Todd, 36, and his seven children dead in their Princess Anne home. Police had been sent to the home to check on Todd, who had not shown up for work. They found a gas generator in the kitchen that had run out of fuel. The house did not have electricity.
