MENASHA, Wis. — Three people were killed and two were injured in a shooting on the Trestle Trail bridge in Menasha Sunday night, police said.

Aaron Zemlock, the Menasha Police Department's community liaison officer, said the shooting happened at about 7:30 p.m. on the west end of Trestle Trail bridge that connects Menasha and the Town of Menasha. The suspect was in custody around 8:30 p.m.

A lock tender and a fisherman said they heard 10 to 12 shots and saw people running in both directions after the shooting began.

Zemlock did not identify the deceased, nor the conditions of the surviving shooting victims. Details about what led to the shooting were unavailable.
