MILLIKEN, Colo. — The Hispanic restaurant owner who plans to hold "White Appreciation Day" now says a 10% discount will extend to all customers regardless of race — if they ask for it.

"We're not backtracking, we're not clarifying anything. This was the intention from the beginning," said Edgar Antillon, owner of Rubbin Buttz BBQ.

Antillon said after word spread Thursday about "White Appreciation Day," there were some unpleasant responses. On Friday someone called in a bomb threat directed at the restaurant so diners had to be evacuated.

Over the weekend, "White Appreciation Day" was trending on Twitter. One user tweeted, "'Rolling my eyes #ridiculous." Another person on Facebook wrote, "I'm Mexican-American and I support this."

Even though he insists everyone is included, Antillon again defended the idea behind "White Appreciation Day."

"We need to end the white guilt, because they're included in this American history and they should be included just like everybody else," Antillon said.
