3 dead after shooting at Phoenix park

PHOENIX — Three people are dead after a shooting Tuesday night at a park in Phoenix, police said.

When officers arrived at the parking lot of Desert West Park in west Phoenix, they found three adult male gunshot victims, Sgt. Trent Crump said in an email statement. One was pronounced dead at the scene, another was taken to a hospital where he died. A third was initially listed in critical condition, but Crump said Wednesday morning that victim had also died.

According to fire officials, the victims all appeared to be in their 20s.

Witnesses said the shooting stemmed from an argument in the parking lot and reported seeing at least two vehicles flee the scene, the statement said.

No further information was released.
