Authorities identify 4 dead in shooting at S.C. home

ROCK HILL, S.C. — Officials overnight released the names of the four people killed in a shooting Sunday at a South Carolina home.

The York County coroner identified the dead as Randy Eugene Moore; his wife, Anna Moore; her son Jason Lockamy; and Lockamy's girlfriend Lora Young. All died from gunshot wounds.

Police in Rock Hill, about 25 miles southwest of Charlotte, N.C., received a call about the shooting about 5:30 p.m. EDT. The victims were killed across the street from Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene, the Sheriff's Office said Sunday.

According to The Rock Hill Herald, Anna Moore, 50, was the York County assistant manager. Moore's husband was 55; her son was 31 and Young, her son's girlfriend, also was 31. As assistant manager, Moore supervised Animal Control, the Department of Fire Safety, Emergency Management, Prison, Public Safety Communications, and the Summer Feeding Program, according to the York County website.

Details were limited as authorities were delayed in going through the home because they had to wait on a search warrant and for the forensics team.

"We do know there was some gunfire involved inside the home," said York County Sheriff Bruce Bryant.

"We're not going to be able to go into detail of who was shot, how many were shot or whatever," Bryant said.

Bryant said investigators believe the shooting took place sometime Sunday, with police arriving at the home around 5:45 p.m.

A Sheriff's Office spokesperson said the incident took place inside the home, as well as in the yard, but they weren't actively searching for a suspect.

"Not at this time," Bryant said. "We've got to go in and determine if there are any suspects. We'll make a determination and then go forward."

On Sunday, neighbors told The Herald that a family had just moved into the home about two weeks earlier. York County tax and property records show the home was sold last month, the newspaper reported.
