A massive fire that broke out at a Las Vegas hotel Saturday afternoon has been extinguished.
The fire set ablaze the Cosmopolitan Hotel's 14th floor outdoor pool deck, burning cabanas and artificial trees and vegetation, said Sandra Baker, Clark County Fire Department's assistant fire chief.
Baker said there are no burn victims, but two people were treated for smoke inhalation. One of those patients was transported to the hospital, she said.
She said multiple floors of the hotel were evacuated due to the smoke, but there was only minimal damage to the building, namely some broken windows. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Baker said 35 units and 110 firefighters responded to the second-alarm fire.
