With strong jobs report, will Fed raise interest rates?
Employers added 211,000 jobs in November as the labor market turned in a solid showing Friday for the second straight month, likely cementing a decision by the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates this month for the first time in nearly a decade. Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellendownplayed the significance of the jobs report, saying the Fed will review the report and that it primarily looks at the labor market and inflation as it considers rate hikes.

German parliament approves joining coalition fighting ISIL in Syria
Germany's parliament on Friday voted to commit up to 1,200 soldiers to support the coalition fighting the Islamic State militants in Syria. The U.S.-led coalition also includes Britain, France and other nations. German Chancellor Angela Merkel approved sending jets, tanker aircraft and a frigate warship to help protect the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle in the Mediterranean Sea. Coldplay to release 7th, possibly final album
Christmas comes early for Coldplay fans: the British band's seventh album, A Head Full of Dreams, is released Friday. The album crackles with a dance energy that stands in contrast to the band’s last effort," says reporter Marco della Cava. The album's special guests include Beyoncé, Noel Gallagher, Tove Lo, and lead singer Chris Martin's ex, Gwyneth Paltrow. Martin has said this album is likely Coldplay's last, and the band is expected to go on tour.
'America's Next Top Model' hits the runway for final time
Tyra Bank's America's Next Top Model, a reality TV institution, will end its 13-year run when the CW show's 22nd season concludes Friday at 9 p.m. ET. Along with teaching us how to “smize” and be “fierce,” Banks’ series pulled back the curtain on the modeling world starting in 2003. The runway runaway hit has spawned more than 20 international spinoffs, from Top Model China to Top Model Holland. The show may live on (producers have been shopping it to streaming and cable outlets), but Banks has not committed to hosting.

FCC's new net neutrality rules head to court
The Federal Communications Commission on Friday defends its net neutrality rules in federal court. Opponents including AT&T and USTelecom say the FCC overstepped its authority. Earlier rules were tossed out of court, too, but the agency approved new ones in February to protect the free flow of content. As FCC chairman Tom Wheeler said at the time, "The Internet is too important to allow broadband providers to make the rules.”
