The family of Philando Castile hired TV Judge Glenda Hatchett to represent them in all civil legal matters related to his death. Hatchett and Castile's mother, Valerie, held a joint press conference Tuesday at the Minnesota State Capitol to detail their expectations and announce Castile's funeral plans.

Castile was shot and killed by a St. Anthony Police Officer on Wednesday, July 6 in Falcon Heights. The aftermath of his death was recorded live by his girlfriend Diamond Reynolds.

Hatchett said she will "aggressively" represent Castile's family as they pursue justice for his death.

Hatchett served eight years as a former Chief Judge of the Juvenile Court of Fulton County in Atlanta, Georgia before becoming the host of a nationally syndicated TV show, "Judge Hatchett."
