Two brothers from Wisconsin disappeared during a business trip in Missouri, police say
CLINTON COUNTY, Missouri – Authorities are investigating after two brothers from Wisconsin vanished in Missouri.
Nicholas Diemel, 35, and Justin Diemel, 24, have been missing since 3 p.m. Monday, according to the Clinton County Missouri Sheriff’s Office. Authorities found their vehicle abandoned in a commuter lot in Holt, Missouri.
"Searches have been conducted and are under way in Clinton and Caldwell counties," the sheriff's office said in a release. "Multiple agencies are involved in the investigation, and multiple leads continue to be researched."
The brothers traveled to Missouri for business, authorities said. The pair, who own Diemel's Livestock, were scheduled to return home Sunday, but missed their flight, WGBA-TV reported.
“I have no clue what's going on,” Pam, Nicholas and Justin's mother, told the station. “We are in shock. I mean, I can't even believe that something like this can happen. You go on a business trip and you're coming back with the person you met with, they didn't make their flight. They found the abandoned truck on the side of the road with their carry-ons and that was it."
Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff’s office TIPS line at 816-632-8477.
