Horrific surveillance video released by Las Vegas police shows an apparent kidnapping as investigators search for clues and the identities of the victim and kidnapper, authorities say.

The video taken just after midnight Wednesday shows a woman running up to a home and banging on the door as a man sprints after her and attacks her.

The woman calls for help and tells the man to stop before he throws her down and kicks her. The man then drags the woman back to a white car stopped in the road in front of the house.

Las Vegas police said in a statement Wednesday that the identities and locations of both people were unknown. The department did not immediately respond to Paste BN's request for comment Thursday.

The victim is a white woman between 20 and 30 years old with dark hair and last seen wearing blue ripped jeans, a dark long sleeve shirt and dark boots, police said.

The kidnapper is a black man also between 20 and 30 years old with short black hair and last seen wearing a white shirt with dark horizontal stripes, dark pants and brown dress shoes, police said.

The vehicle seen in the video is a white Hyundai Sonata with a sunroof; however, the license plate number was unclear, police said.
