'Pizza Groundhog' looks fearless and hungry in this adorable video

Add "Pizza Groundhog" to the list of adorable animals whose antics are entertaining us during social distancing restrictions that are keeping many of us at home. 

A video posted by Facebook user Kristin Chalela Bagnell on Tuesday shows a groundhog munching on a piece of pizza staring through a glass door, locking eyes with two dogs.

Standing on its hind legs, the rodent grasps the slice in its front paws. The dogs seem tense; the groundhog a little defiant and a lot hungry.

The video was taken in a Philadelphia home as the critter munched on the pizza outside for about an hour, according to CNN and local TV station WPVI.

Bagnell told CNN that she had seen the rodent before, but never eating pizza. 

The video is reminding many of New York City's "Pizza Rat" who rose to internet fame in 2015 by dragging a slice through a subway.

As widespread stay-at-home orders are keeping people physically distant, cute animal photos and videos are serving as a welcome distraction for many.
