Police in Oklahoma who thought they were responding to a person in distress this week got a good chuckle when they got on scene and learned it was a goat "yelling for help."

Body cam footage posted on Enid Police Department's Facebook page Monday shows Officers David Sneed and Neal Storey walking through a field toward what sounds like a person needing aide.

"That's a person," one officer says as the other begins running toward the voice.

'Damsel in distress'

Running toward the sound, the officers discovered their "damsel in distress was a very upset goat," who the farmer explained, had been separated from one of his friends.

"Thank you, gentlemen. Your swift actions (although in the end not necessary) are appreciated by us all," the department quipped on social media. "All in all, you really can’t say it was that baaad of a call."
