Truck full of nacho cheese leaves sticky mess on Arkansas highway

Transportation officials in Arkansas had a cheesy joke played on them when they dealt with nacho typical highway spill.

A truck carrying multiple packs of nacho cheese spilled over Interstate 30 in the northwest city of Prescott, according to the Arkansas Department of Transportation. The department shared photos on X, formerly Twitter, of what looks to be at least 100 opened cheese cans spilled on the road.

"Taco Tuesday, anyone?" the department shared.

The spill closed part of the highway as crews cleared the cans and cheese. The highway reopened later that day, according to the post.

The crash occurred after two trucks merged into each other, a state transportation department representative told Paste BN. It took three to four hours to clear the Interstate after maintenance workers pushed the cheese to the side of the road using a backhoe.

The transportation department said crews placed sand on the road to prevent it from being slick.

No one was reported injured.
