Man arrested for allegedly beating two dogs to death in New York, police say


The man was identified as 23-year-old Christian Radetich-Hallman of Newfane, New York.

A New York man was arrested Tuesday by officials after he allegedly beat two puppies to death in upstate New York last week, according to a press release from the New York State police.

The man was identified as 23-year-old Christian Radetich-Hallman of Newfane, New York which is located to the north of Buffalo near the border with Canada.

According to officials, troopers were dispatched to a residence in the town after reports of animal cruelty Thursday, Oct. 24. An investigation by police found Radetich-Hallman had allegedly beaten two dogs to death, the release said.

One of the dogs was a 4-month-old King Charles Cavalier Spaniel dog that was found inside a trash can. The other dog was a 3-month-old Australian Shepard which was found at another part of the house.

Radetich-Hallman was arrested this week

The man was subsequently arrested Tuesday on two counts of aggravated cruelty to animals and two counts of criminal tampering with physical evidence, police said. Three law agencies collaborated in the investigation the Niagara County SPCA, the Niagra County Sheriff’s Office and the New York State Parole worked in conjunction.
