2 teens shot outside NYC McDonald's in Upper West Side on Halloween: NYPD


The NYPD reported a 17-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man were struck by gunfire during the melee. So far no arrest has been made in the case.

Gunfire erupted on Halloween night at a McDonald's in New York City's Upper West Side injuring two people, police said.

The shooting took place outside the fast-food chain's location near 72nd Street and Amsterdam Avenue just off Broadway, the New York Police Department told Paste BN Friday.

According to a preliminary investigation from police as well as information from a McDonald's spokesperson, a 17-year-old boy and a 19-year-old man were struck by gunfire during the melee then went into the store for help.

As of Friday morning, no other injuries had been confirmed by police, and a motive in the shooting was not immediately known.

At the scene, officers reported they found the 17-year-old victim suffering a gunshot wound to his right foot.

Paramedics transported the victim to a hospital in stable condition.

Second victim in NYC McDonald's shooting hit in shoulder and arm

Not long after, police said they learned a 19-year-old man also suffered gunshot wounds to his shoulder and arm. That person was transported by private vehicle to another hospital.

According to police, the man was listed in stable condition Friday morning.

No arrests have been made in connection to the shooting

So far, no arrests have been made in the case, and no suspects have been publicly named.

The shooting remained under investigation Friday, police said.
