Who are the Alexander brothers, celebrity real estate moguls charged with sexual assault?

Three brothers belonging to the celebrity real estate Alexander family were arrested in Miami Wednesday on a litany of sexual assault charges, marking a stunning downfall for the young moguls once hailed as royalty among jet-setting echelons of East Coast high society.
Twins Oren and Alon, 37, and their older brother Tal, 38, are accused of working together to "repeatedly and violently drug, sexually assault, and rape dozens of victims," according to the federal indictment filed in New York. Oren and Alon also face sexual battery charges in their home of Miami Beach, according to arrest warrants.
"The defendants used their wealth and positions to create and facilitate opportunities to sexually assault women," Damian Williams, the U.S. attorney in Manhattan, said Wednesday.
So who are the Alexander brothers and how did they get here?
'Real estate royalty'
Oren and Tal made a reputation for themselves in the real estate world for selling high-end, luxury homes to celebrities and the ultra-rich, including to A-listers like fashion designers Tommy Hilfiger and Steve Madden, according to Forbes.
The brothers were hailed in a Details magazine spread in 2013 as "real estate royalty." The year before, the pair brokered the most expensive private home ever sold in Miami-Dade county at the time for $47 million, the magazine reported.
"They earn rock-star salaries, look like rock stars, fly private jets, hobnob not necessarily with the greatest but with the richest."
In 2012, Oren and Tal founded the Alexander Team, a division of the Douglas Elliman real estate firm where they worked as brokers, according to The Real Deal.
In 2019, Oren and Tal sold a $238 million Manhattan condo that is to this day the most expensive private residence ever sold in the U.S., according to Forbes.
The pair launched their own real estate brokerage firm, Official, in 2022, according to Business Insider.
Where are the Alexander brothers from?
The brothers' father, Shlomy, is an Israeli-born home developer and their mother, Orly, is the CFO and co-founder of Kent Security, according to a company biography page. Alon is now president of Kent Security, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Alon received a bachelors in criminal justice from the University of Maryland in 2008 before attending New York Law School, his LinkedIn profile says.
Oren graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2008 with a bachelors degree in finance, according to his LinkedIn profile. Tal graduated from Hofstra University in 2008 with a bachelors degree in marketing, his LinkedIn profile says.
Where do the Alexander brothers live?
In 2021, Oren and Tal purchased a $10 million waterfront home in Miami Beach to teardown and rebuild with their father. Oren posted on LinkedIn a link to a The Real Deal article about the 11,500 square foot purchase.
Tal said in the 2013 article in Details that being successful in real estate means living the same high life as his clients.
"We've been to Russia twice in the last year. We want to go four more times. You have to be in Saint-Tropez in July. Aspen in the winter. Hong Kong for Art Basel, Cannes for the film festival, Monaco for the Grand Prix."
