Reward offered to capture Las Vegas man wanted for killing girlfriend, carjacking witness

The U.S. Marshals Service in the District of Nevada issued a plea for help and additional reward money to find a man wanted for killing his girlfriend during an argument a year and a half ago in Las Vegas.

U.S. Marshals said in a press release Wednesday that they are offering $3,500 to find Oswaldo Nathanahel Perez-Sanchez, 26. The agency is working with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Previously, the FBI offered a $30,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.

The victim was killed on April 22, 2023 during an argument with Perez-Sanchez, who she was dating, reported U.S. Marshals. She was eventually identified as 26-year-old Tabatha Tozzi, according to television station KSNV.

Perez-Sanchez and Tozzi were arguing at her home in Las Vegas when he shot her to death, U.S. Marshals said in the press release. He is also accused of carjacking a witness and fleeing the scene.

U.S. Marshals also shared information about the suspect on Facebook Thursday morning.

He is now on the run and facing charges such as open murder with the use of a deadly weapon or tear gas, coercion constituting domestic violence with the threat or use of physical force, robbery with the use of a deadly weapon or tear gas and grand larceny of motor vehicle, according to the FBI.

Victim was her family’s ‘lifeline,’ according to fundraiser

Tozzi’s family and friends gathered a year after her death to remember her, reported KSNV.

A woman who appears to be Tozzi’s mother, Regina Lacerda, also started a GoFundMe shortly after her death. She said her daughter called her asking for help because she was having a (dispute) with her boyfriend, who they referred to as “Nate.”

“I raced over in a panic,” the woman wrote in the fundraiser description. “When I arrived at the scene it was the worst fear any mother could have. My daughter had been shot by the man who claimed to love her and whom I trusted with my daughter, who was my entire world. She is all I had left and my heart is completely shattered.”

According to the woman’s mother, she was her only daughter and they had a beautiful bond. Calling her daughter a “beautiful soul,” she said she was proud to be Tozzi’s “mother and best friend.”

She was bubbly and had a warm smile, her mother said.

The woman started the fundraiser because her daughter was the head of their household. She paid for their expenses, as well as for her grandmother who has dementia and lives in Brazil.

“She was our lifeline,” the woman wrote about the victim. “During this difficult time, I am asking for your help financially to assist with any costs that may arise as I go through my grieving process.”

As of Thursday, the fundraiser has raised nearly $55,000.

'Armed and dangerous'

Officials said Perez-Sanchez, the suspect, is a white Hispanic male, stands at 5-feet-9 inches tall and weighs 190 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes and tattoos on his neck, chest and both arms.

“He should be considered armed and dangerous,” U.S. Marshals wrote in the press release.

U.S. Marshals ask that anyone who knows where Perez-Sanchez to call 1-877-WANTED2 or 1-877-926-8332. Tipsters can also submit information via the USMS Tips App.
