Video shows dramatic rescue after car falls 100 feet off Oregon coast highway

Video and photo footage has captured the dramatic, hours-long rescue of a driver whose car fell about 100 feet from the side of a high a highway on the Oregon coast.
Members of Cannon Beach Fire and Rescue responded to a report of a single car that fell below Highway 101 near Hug Point around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, according to a news release from the Cannon Beach Rural Fire Protection District.
Officials helped extricate one person from the car and used a "rope rescue system" to bring them to safety while firefighters repelled down the hillside and stabilized the car, the agency said.
