Six people in Ohio are accused of kidnapping a man and torturing him for seven days, including beating him with a metal bat and depriving him of food and water, according to court documents.

Aaron Bradshaw, 49; Austin Bradshaw, 23; Chance Johnston, 27; David Cessna, 26; Martina Esqueda, 28; and Michael Esqueda, 28, have been charged with felony kidnapping to terrorize or inflict serious physical harm, according to Toledo Municipal Court records obtained by Paste BN.

The group allegedly kidnapped and began torturing the man at a Red Roof Inn in Maumee, Ohio on March 14, and it continued until their arrest on March 21, an arrest warrant says.

"He was being essentially tortured, assaulted, over the time frame of a week," Maumee Chief of Police Josh Sprow told 13 Action News. "His injuries were results of being struck with a baseball bat, struck with fists, elbows, stomping on him when he was on the ground — which over time resulted in multiple fractured bones."

Paste BN contacted Maumee police on Tuesday but did not receive an immediate response.

How did the group allegedly torture the victim?

According to the arrest warrant, the group used their hands and a metal bat to beat the victim. They also made the man "stand for extended periods of time" and only let him eat and drink once a day, the court document states.

Additionally, the arrest warrant says the man only slept for 10 hours during a seven-day period. When he was eventually found, he had injuries all over his body, according to the court document.

"The totality of those injuries has not been determined," Assistant City Prosecutor Andy Lastra, who described the case as "extremely disturbing," said, per the Toledo Blade.

Toledo Municipal Court judge sets $200,000 bond for group

A Toledo Municipal Court judge set a $200,000 bond for all six charged individuals, Laura Watt, the chief deputy for the Lucas County Clerk of Courts, told Paste BN. A preliminary hearing is set for April 1, she added.

The judge appointed lawyers for all six individuals, the Toledo Blade reported. LaRon Bankston, whom the judge appointed for Johnston, requested the court grant his client a lower bond due to him having no prior record and "may have a different level of culpability than the other defendants," according to the outlet.

In response to Bankston, the judge said that while all six were "low risk" in terms of ensuring they appear in court, the nature of the allegations against them and the court's duty to consider public safety justified the $200,00 bond for all of them, the Toledo Blade reported.
