Explosion and smoke seen from oil refinery in Tuscaloosa, Alabama: Reports

Various local news sources in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, are reporting that an explosion has left smoke billowing from a local oil refinery.

According to WBRC, Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue confirmed that an incident at the Hunt Oil refinery has prompted a response from fire officials May 7 at around 11:45 a.m. local time.  

Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue did not immediately respond to Paste BN’s request for comment on May 7.
