LA curfew map: See when and where restrictions are in place
"Law enforcement will arrest individuals who break the curfew, and you will be prosecuted," Los Angles Mayor Karen Bass said in an X post on Tuesday.
Protestors were arrested in mass in Los Angeles on Tuesday evening, the first night of a city-mandated curfew put in place following days of protests over immigration enforcement raids, which have led to thousands of National Guard troops assigned to the city.
LA Mayor Karen Bass announced the curfew on Tuesday − an effort to cease ongoing vandalism and looting in downtown LA. The curfew is to "stop bad actors who are taking advantage of the President's chaotic escalation," Bass wrote in a X post on Tuesday. "Law enforcement will arrest individuals who break the curfew, and you will be prosecuted."
The days-long protests began on Friday, June 6, prompted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement sweeps issued by President Donald Trump to find immigrants in the U.S. without legal status.
Here's what to know about when and where the Los Angeles curfew is taking place.
