John Dingell was a Twitter superstar. Here are his greatest hits.
DETROIT – John Dingell wasn't just the longest-running congressman in American history. He was also among the funniest people on Twitter.
The Michigan native and political titan died Thursday. He was 92.
Though he made quite a name for himself in U.S. politics, he spent the latter part of his life sharing his musings on Twitter to critical acclaim. In 2014, the Wall Street Journal called him a social media star and the Atlantic considered his account the best in Congress.
In honor of Dingell, we look back at some of his best and most popular tweets from the past several years. Though he has spent much of the past couple years railing on the Donald Trump administration, he also tweeted a ton on Detroit and Michigan sports, life in his later years, and more.
