Fox News poll: Donald Trump up on Ron DeSantis; RFK Jr. has 19% support against President Joe Biden

WASHINGTON – A new poll shows Donald Trump building a lead over Ron DeSantis among Republicans, while Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., pulls almost one-in-five Democratic votes against incumbent President Joe Biden.

Kennedy had 19% in the Fox News poll released Wednesday night, though far behind Biden at 62%. Another Democratic challenger, Marianne Williamson, recorded 9% in the survey.

Biden's opponents "are most successful in peeling away support among women and Gen Xers, keeping Biden in the mid-fifties among both groups," Fox News reported.

Last week, a Paste BN/Suffolk University Poll put Kennedy at 14%, surprising strength for a longshot candidate against an incumbent president.

Biden announced his re-election bid just this week.

Trump's lead grows after indictment

On the Republican side, Trump has built a lead despite his recent indictment in New York City and an array of investigations pending against him.

The Fox poll put Trump at 53%, followed by DeSantis (21%), Mike Pence (6%), Nikki Haley (4%) and Vivek Ramaswamy (3%).

DeSantis, the Florida governor who is in the midst of a four-nation trade mission, has seen his presidential support ebb amid constant attacks by Trump and a legal fight with Disney.

"Since February," Fox reported, "Trump is up 10 points, while DeSantis is down 7."
