OnPolitics: Donald Trump faces liabilities with over mounting legal challenges
Hi there, OnPolitics readers!
Former President Donald Trump, the Republican frontrunner in the 2024 presidential election, was charged with federal crimes yesterday. He then proceeded to turn his arrest into a campaign stop, visiting a popular Cuban restaurant in Miami on his drive to the airport to greet supporters.

The impact on 2024? Not great for Trump, but he remains the leading Republican candidate.
The unprecedented indictment of a former president has 34% of Republican and Independent voters reporting that they are now less likely to support Trump, according to a new Paste BN/Suffolk University poll released Tuesday. The findings demonstrate that the former president’s legal challenges will likely play a significant role throughout the 2024 campaign.
But some indictment excitement: While the indictments had a negative impact on Trump in the eyes of one-third of Republican and Independent voters, 11% said it makes them more likely to support Trump, according to the poll.
The findings demonstrate limited success in Trump's efforts to use his legal proceedings to raise funds and garner support from his reelection campaign.
Bad signs for Biden too: The Paste BN/Suffolk University poll found that 37% of Democratic and Independent voters are less likely to support the 80-year-old president due to his age.
Just 3% said that Biden's age makes them more likely to support him.
Something to keep your eye on: A greater portion of Democrats and Independents (37%) said they are less likely to support Biden due to his age than Republicans and Independents (34%) are less likely to support Trump following his indictments.
