Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren went on late night television and set the record straight on former President Donald Trump's new running mate, J.D. Vance.

This past Tuesday, Warren appeared on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" to talk various salient issues but most aggressively addressed Trump's vice presidential pick Vance, clarifying her view of Vance since Warren and Vance worked together to pass previous legislation.

After the worked together on the Failed Bank Executives Clawback Act, they were called "the new power couple taking on Wall Street" by Politco.

But consider that power couple broken up.

"This incarnation of J.D. Vance, which is not the one who called Donald Trump America's Hitler," Warren said. "He is now Donald Trump doubled."

"It means now that on really key issues, he's Donald Trump, in some cases only more so," she said. "He said yes, he wants a nationwide abortion ban, but he's opposed to any exceptions for rape or incest."

She went on to say Vance intends to cut social security and Medicare, throw out the Affordable Care Act, and that he wants to cut taxes for billionaires.

"That's J.D. Vance as known through his issues," she said.

Who is J.D. Vance

Vance is junior senator for the state of Ohio. He wrote the best-selling memoir "Hillbilly Elegy," which highlighted parts of his life, like his struggles as a poor boy from a working-class family to his triumphs at Yale Law School. He is also a military veteran.

When on a publicity tour for his memoir, Vance proclaimed himself a "Never Trump" guy and said he never liked the 45th president. It seems he has since turned a corner on his opinion of the mogul.

"J.D.’s book, “Hillbilly Elegy,” became a Major Best Seller and Movie, as it championed the hardworking men and women of our Country."
