Do I need to register to vote?
Yes, you do need to register to vote in Delaware.
How do I do that?
Delaware has Automatic Voter Registration (AVR), which means if you have a state driver’s license, learner’s permit, or state identification card, you are automatically registered to vote. However, the deadline has passed if you are unregistered.
What's the deadline?
If you are already a registered voter, the deadline for requesting an absentee ballot is Nov. 1. If you are not registered, the deadline has passed.
Where do I find out where my polling site is?
Polls in Delaware are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. To find your assigned polling place, check the state’s voter portal. If you're in line by 8 p.m., you’ll still be able to vote.
Can I vote by mail?
Mail your completed ballot to your town clerk.
What's the latest date I can turn in my ballot?
Ballots must be received by 8 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5—not just postmarked.
