Do I need to register to vote?
Yes, you must register to vote in Minnesota.
How do I do that?
All eligible adults are automatically registered to vote in Minnesota when they get a state issued ID. You can also register to vote online or by mail. Voters can register in person at polling places up to Election Day.
What's the deadline?
The deadline for registering to vote by mail or online is Oct. 15. The deadline for in person registration is on Election Day.

What's the latest date I can turn in my ballot?
Absentee ballots must be returned by 8 p.m. on Election Day. If you are returning your ballot by mail, it must be received by Election Day.

What if I need help getting to the polling site?
If it is difficult for you to make it to a polling site, you can request an absentee ballot and vote at home. If you have a disability, you can request an accessible absentee ballot.
