Do I need to register to vote?
Yes. If you’re not sure whether you’re registered to vote, you can search your name and county on the voter look up portal on the Ohio Secretary of State website.
How do I do that?
In Ohio, you can register to vote online, by mail or in person. To register online, you will need to provide an Ohio driver’s license or ID card number, your name, date of birth, address and the last four digits of your social security number.
What's the deadline?
The deadline to register is Oct. 7.
Where do I find out where my polling site is?
You can find your voting precinct and poll location by searching your name and county on the voter look up portal on the Ohio Secretary of State website.
Can I vote by mail?
All Ohio voters can request an absentee ballot by filling out an absentee ballot application online, printing it and mailing it to your county board of elections, or call your board of elections and request an application.
What's the latest date I can turn in my ballot?
If you return your absentee ballot by mail, it must be postmarked no later than the day before Election Day and received by your county board of elections no later than four days after the election.
Is there a way I can track my ballot?
You can track your absentee ballot using tools provided on the Ohio Secretary of State website.
What if I need help getting to the polling site?
Any Ohio voter with a qualifying disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act can request an absentee ballot to complete through the accessible absentee voting system.
