Barack Obama at inauguration 2025: See photos of former president as Donald Trump sworn in

Former President Barack Obama attended the inauguration of President Donald Trump on Monday.

The 44th president of the United States appeared at the ceremony without his wife, former first lady Michelle Obama, who announced she would not be attending the event.

Former Presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Joe Biden − who is leaving office Monday − were also seen at Trump's inauguration ceremonies. In 2021, Trump skipped Biden's inauguration in the aftermath of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

Obama and Trump were recently pictured together at the funeral service for former President Jimmy Carter, along with Clinton, Bush and Biden.
