Elon Musk at inauguration 2025: See photos of the tech mogul as Donald Trump sworn in
As President Donald Trump was sworn into office Monday, among those present at the intimate inauguration ceremony inside the Rotunda of the Capitol was tech mogul Elon Musk. During the event, Musk was seen cheering on Trump as he delivered his inaugural address and interacting with fellow tech moguls Jeff Bezos and Sundar Pichai.
The billionaire, who is CEO of Tesla and SpaceX and owner of X, is preparing to co-lead the Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE, referring to a cryptocurrency championed by Musk.
He will head the department with former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy. Musk initially said he would cut federal funding by $2 trillion, however in recent interviews, he indicated the figure could be closer to half of that.
