Photos show President Donald Trump's 2023 mug shot framed outside the Oval Office
Photographs taken from inside the White House show President Donald Trump has his mug shot framed and hung just outside the Oval Office.
Images taken during a Thursday meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Oval Office went viral after an open doorway revealed the New York Post's cover of the infamous photo hanging on the wall.
The infamous mug shot was taken following his 2023 arrest in Georgia on charges alleging he tried to overturn the 2020 election results. Trump was charged in four criminal cases after his first term as president. He was convicted by a New York jury of 34 counts of falsifying business records in the hush money case involving Stormy Daniels.
Since winning a second term in office, Trump's Department of Justice is tackling what they call the "weaponization" of the justice system against him.
DOJ under Trump takes on 'weaponization' of cases against him
Trump was sentenced in the hush money trial with "unconditional discharge," allowing him to walk away free as he prepared for his second term in office.
Because two of his cases were federal cases, the charges were dropped due to the DOJ policy to not prosecute a sitting president. The DOJ recently fired more than a dozen officials who worked with special counsel Jack Smith on the cases.

Trump has asked an appeal court to drop the charges in the Georgia racketeering case, which led to the mug shot, due to his return to office, Reuters reported. Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who was prosecuting the case, was disqualified from it.
Trump-appointed Attorney General Pam Bondi has vowed to overhaul the DOJ and investigate Trump's prosecutions, which he claimed were overly politicized.
