Vance visit to Greenland met with cold welcome by locals
Vice President JD Vance pushed President Donald Trump's agenda to acquire Greenland during his visit to a U.S. military base there.
Vice President JD Vance and his wife Usha Vance are visiting Greenland amid international tensions over President Donald Trump's talk of acquiring the Danish territory.
The trip was scaled back after pushback from Greenlandic and Danish officials. Local media suggested the White House struggled to find locals willing to greet the second lady, and protests were planned at a dog-sled race they planned on attending.
Instead, the American delegation, including the Vances, Utah Sen. Mike Lee, and national security adviser Mike Waltz, will visit a remote U.S. Space Force base at Pituffik, where they will meet with service members.
The vice president is also expected to give remarks.
