Sunday shows to spotlight Clinton email woes, Trump immigration plan


WASHINGTON — Hillary Clinton’s continuing email troubles. Donald Trump’s controversial immigration proposal. Republican opposition to the Iran nuclear agreement. Those hot political and policy questions will dominate this Sunday’s talk shows.

Trump further roiled the Republican presidential race earlier this month with his call to end to birthright citizenship, and the GOP debate over immigration will be front and center this Sunday. Also on the agenda: growing speculation that Vice President Joe Biden will join the Democratic presidential race and challenge Clinton’s front-runner status.

Here's the full lineup:

• CBS' Face the Nation: Republican presidential candidates Ted Cruz, a senator from Texas, and Chris Christie, the governor of New Jersey.

• NBC's Meet the Press: Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina and California’s Democratic Gov. Jerry Brown

• CNN's State of the UnionRepublican presidential candidate and retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson; Corey Lewandowski, campaign manager for Trump’s 2016 presidential bid; and former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb, a Democratic presidential contender.

Fox News Sunday: Republican presidential candidate and former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee; Josh Alcorn, a senior advisor to “Draft Biden 2016,” the super PAC working to get the vice president into the race.

• ABC's This WeekTrump will appear, along with GOP White House hopeful Scott Walker, the governor of Wisconsin, and Democratic presidential candidate Martin O’Malley, the former governor of Maryland.

• WUSA9 Capital Download: Sen. Amy Klobuchar, Democrat of Minnesota; Carmel Martin, of the Center for American Progress; and a political roundtable with Jonathan Allen of VOX and Philip Rucker of the Washington Post.
